LAPOINTE, Diane Raymonde Dugas Lapointe

In loving memory of Diane Lapointe who passed away peacefully at Pioneer Manor surrounded by family on September 25, 2025, at the age of 79. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Lawrence Lapointe for 52 years, Diane is now reunited with him in his loving embrace. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kristine Lapointe (Tina) and Laurie Zahra (Edward). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Adam and Brayden as well as step grandchildren Misty (Darryl), Melanie (BJ), Stephanie (Joe), and step-great grandchildren Riley, Rheanna, Alexander and Grayson.

Her family brought such joy and love to her life. Diane was the daughter of the late Raymond Dugas and the late Anita Dugas (nee Carriere). She was a caring sister to Liliane Dugas (Peter), Raymond Dugas (Vicky), Roger Dugas (Rosanna), Estelle Dugas, and Lise Dugas (Darren). She also held a very special place in her heart for her brothers and sisters-in-law, several of whom she befriended as a young teenager when she first met Lawrence at the age of 13. Lawrence’s nine siblings became a cherished extended family: Rita, Effie, Harold, Dyana, Viola, Myra, Walter, Jackie, and Joanne. Diane will be missed by many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.

Diane will be remembered for her compassionate love and devotion to her family and her kindness to friends; she aimed to help others in any way she could if it would somehow ease their burden. Diane assisted the community through her work at Canadian Blood Services, which she greatly enjoyed. Diane was a loving wife, amazing mother, devoted grandmother and exceptional sister and friend.

A private service will be held and those closest to Diane will celebrate her life in loving memory.

Diane’s family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the team at Pioneer Manor for the exceptional care and compassion extended to her. In honour of Diane’s kindness toward others, please consider a donation to your local Food Bank, or to the ALS Society.
