LAROCHE, Lawrence D. Laroche

It is with saddened hearts the family announces the passing of Lawrence Darrol

Laroche 87, of Sault Ste. Marie, on December 19, 2025, after a brief battle with bladder cancer.

Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Florence and brother Clarence (Sonny), he was the devoted husband to his wife Geatane for 64 years and the loving father to the late Angele (Pat), Gilles (Debbie) and Carol (Eric). He cherished his grandchildren Katie (Matt), Grace (Brandon), Darrell (Colin), DeAndre (Zach), and Erica. Blessed with his great-grandchildren Maisie, Elouise, Ian, Maeve, Scottie and Rory.

Long time employee of Loblaws, he always put a smile on his customer and fellow employees faces with his sharp sense of humor and quick wit. Lawrence enjoyed many years entertaining friends and family with his easy-going personality, many jokes and funny stories.

Always true to his Catholic faith he will be missed here by all he leaves behind but welcomed anxiously to his heavenly home along with his beloved daughter Angele.

Special thanks to all the 3rd floor doctors, nurses and staff especially Dr. Fera and Dr. Woolner at the Sault Area Hospital for your compassion, professionalism, and thoughtful care.

Cremation has taken place, and a Funeral Mass will be held in the coming spring along with the internment of ashes. (Precious Blood Cathedral 778 Queen St E, Sault Ste. Marie).
