In Loving Memory of Pamela Lynn Laroche (née Dagenais)
December 10, 1960 – June 29, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Lynn Laroche, of Port Colborne, Ontario, after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Pam passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Pam shared a beautiful life of 41 years with her beloved husband, Rick Laroche, with whom she created a lifetime of laughter, love, and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to April Schirmer (Steve) and Desiree Laroche (Daniel), and a proud, doting grandmother to River, Dade, Makayla, Jordan, Callum, Ava, Bodhi, and Brielle. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent making memories with them.
Pam was predeceased by her parents, Leo Dagenais and Marion Dagenais (Young), and her siblings Leona Beaudoin Dagenais (Milan), Leonard Dagenais, Monica Dagenais, and Mark Dagenais. She is survived by her loving siblings Nancy Taylor (Dagenais), Jeff Dagenais, and Gary Dagenais (Ginette), along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Real Laroche, to whom she was a devoted caregiver.
A dedicated retired Personal Support Worker at Northland Pointe, Pam brought compassion, dignity, and warmth to those she cared for. She had a special way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved — whether at work, at home, or in her community.
Pam’s passions brought her joy and connection: playing BINGO, traveling with her sisters, and embracing every chance to cross something off her bucket list with her son-in-law. But her heart belonged most of all to her grandchildren, who filled her life with laughter, purpose, and unconditional love.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Cancer Society, a cause that Pam held close to her heart during her brave journey.
True to her humble and selfless spirit, Pam wished for no formal funeral. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honour the beautiful life she lived.
A special thank you is extended to the compassionate caregivers who supported Pam during her palliative care. Your kindness, love, and dedication will always be remembered.
Pam’s love continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
