LASSETER , Norman Lasseter

Norman John Lasseter, 76, passed away on July 28, 2025, in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. He is lovingly remembered by his son Tim (Lane); his daughter Christine; grandson’s Jackson & Aiden; and many others whose lives were touched by his kindness and wit. He is predeceased by his former wife Magda.

Born on April 22, 1949, in Brighton, England, Norman was the son of the late Harold and late Dorothy Lasseter and younger brother to the late Fairlie. In 1952, at the age of three, Norman celebrated his birthday aboard a ship bound for Canada—a journey that marked the beginning of a new chapter for his family as they settled into their new life.

From an early age, Norman displayed a keen intellect and an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. These qualities remained with him throughout his life and were evident in everything he pursued. Whether he was immersed in a science magazine, jamming with his guitar & pedal system, or tackling an electronics project or home renovation, Norman approached each endeavor with enthusiasm, skill and precision. His love for electronics, music and reading enriched his life and brought joy to those who shared these interests with him.

Norman was known not only for his intelligence but also for his generosity of spirit. He was always willing to share what he knew and lend a helping hand whenever he could. His sense of humour was ever-present—quick-witted and warm—and it left lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to spend time with him.

May Norman’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness and curiosity in the world.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry Chapel. A private remembrance will be held by the family at a later date.  Friends are invited to send condolences by visiting www.lowandlow.ca.
