CADIEUX, Laurie (nee FOUNTAIN)  –  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laurie Cadieux (nee Fountain), of Mississauga, who passed, on July 3, 2023, at Credit Valley Hospital, with her family by her side, at the age of 69.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Brad, of 44 years; her children, Blake (Wendy) and Jenna (Matthew); and her grandsons, Evan and Ryan.

Dear daughter of June Fountain (predeceased by her father, George); cherished sister to Debbie (Brian), Jeff (Jill), and Diane (Andy). Dearly loved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Laurie was a graduate of York University and taught for the Peel Board of Education, where she had a lasting impact on her students, colleagues and the community.

Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandsons. A ray of sunshine, Laurie will always be remembered for her love of life, heart of gold and compassion for others. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. A beautiful soul has left us.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. R. Sohi, Dr. J. Gillespie, Dr. E. Panov, and the nurses at the Cancer Centre at CVH and Acclaim Health for their care and compassion.

Visitation for Laurie will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville , on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Christ the King, 475 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke, on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Laurie may be made to the charity of your choice.
