GILES, Laverne Melvin –  Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the age of 84.

Beloved and devoted husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Giles (2001).

Loving father of Cynthia Fines (William), Terry (Brenda) and Mike (Pam). Proud and cherished grandfather of Tyler (Melissa), Katelyn (Gavin), Dave (Candace), Tanya (Chris), Madison and Branson.

Dearest great-grandpa of Hailey, Brianna and Kyla. Dear brother of Marion Archdekin and Doris Robson. Best friend and partner of Sheila Johnson.

Laverne will be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.

Laverne loved music and DJed for over 30 years, 35 years with the Orangeville Fire Department (Deputy Chief). He had a long and fulfilling career with McDonnell Douglas.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations to Headwaters Health Care Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
