Laxdal, Brian Edward passed away suddenly on June 13, 2025, at Lakeridge
Health Oshawa, with his family by his side. His passing was unexpected, leaving a
profound sadness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was 81
years old.

Brian will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Donna, with whom he
shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to Jason
(Nathalie), Jamie (Chris), Brian (Stephanie), and is predeceased by his daughter
Jennifer.

He was a beloved grandfather to Elliot, Liam, Emely, Grace, and Jhaycob. Brian is
also survived by his sister Cheryl Yates (John). He will be fondly remembered by
many extended family members and lifelong friends.

A proud retiree of General Motors, Brian was also well known in the Durham area
for his many years as a softball umpire and hockey referee.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Brian was a man of faith who looked ahead to a
future resurrection where he will be reunited with his family. (John 5:28, 29)

Brian’s family will meet friends on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 2:00–4:00
p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East,
Oshawa.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1950 Wilson Rd. N. Oshawa, ON L1K 0S8
