LE, So Thi Le

Entered into rest at her home on March 10, 2026. So Thi Le of Brockville, age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Nut Van Dang. Cherished mother of the late Phat Van Dang (Thu), Giau Thi Ngo (Tho), Sang Van Dang (Son), My Van Dang (Ha), Hung Thanh Dang (Hanh).  Dear grandmother of Kevin Dang, Thomas Dang, Trinh Phan (David), Annie Ngo Bygrave (Damian), the late Diep Dang, Nhung McGowan (Kevin), Joanna Payne (Devin), Jordan Dang, Christopher Dang, and Aiden Dang and 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by Phuong Le, Tuyet Anh Nguyen, Hoang Minh (Tuyet), Hon Minh, Nong Dang and Day Dang.

So Thi Le lived an extraordinary life defined by strength, resilience, and love for her family. Widowed at the young age of 36, she courageously raised five children on her own, guiding them with determination and care. In the midst of the Vietnam War, she found the strength to escape and build a new life, carrying with her an unbreakable spirit and hope for a better future.

A woman of many talents, So Thi Le expressed her love through cooking, sewing, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. She later found immense joy in helping raise her many grandchildren, sharing with them her warmth, wisdom, and zest for life.

So Thi Le will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of perseverance, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will forever be remembered with love and gratitude.

Family and friends will be received for visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Saturday March 14th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  In memory of So Thi, donations to Brockville and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
