LEADBEATER, Megan Elizabeth Leadbeater

It is with both love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Megan on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the age of 29, after many years of living with a chronic illness. Cherished daughter of Michelle Wemmers, loved sister of Emily (Chris Taylor), and Brittany; dear aunt of Kenley, Hayden, Brady, Lincoln, and Layla. She is survived by extended family members and friends who, in their own ways, will hold onto the memories and connections they shared with her. Megan will be deeply missed by Destiny, who held a very special place in her life, and by her beloved cat, Marley. Predeceased by her father, Ronald Leadbeater, and her grandparents Mary and Mervin Seymour.

Even as she navigated challenges throughout her life, Megan found joy in the things she loved—playing hockey as a child, skateboarding, watching Grey’s Anatomy, playing video games with friends, and being around animals. Central to her life was the unbreakable bond she shared with her mom and Nana, who stood beside her through every moment.

Her family wishes to thank the medical teams, caregivers, and friends who supported her throughout her illness. If desired, memorial donations may be made to PFlag Halton or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

A private family gathering to honour Megan’s life will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME in Burlington on Wednesday, December 3rd. Following the service, Megan will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Megan’s family extends their gratitude for the support and understanding during this time.
