March 10, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family of Ann Leatherdale (nee McTavish) announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late William Robert & Marion Grace (nee Gammage) McTavish. Ann is lovingly reunited with her husband of 62 beautiful years, Keith Leatherdale (Nov. 13, 2025), after 117 days apart. Proud mother of Bob (Pat) Leatherdale, Sandy (Lloyd) Bray & Tom (Kim) Leatherdale. Loving grandma of Alicia (Chris), Keith (April), Alex, Matthew (Sydney), Nicholas, Grace & Lydia. Great-grandma of Harmony, Forster, Scout & Finn. Sister-in-law of Gayle (the late Mike) Garrett and Beth (Brad) Carney. Predeceased by in-laws, Bill (Joan) Leatherdale, Connie Ginn. Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Mom retired from the Public General Hospital, 3 Centre as a Registered Nurse. Nursing was her calling; she was the most compassionate and caring person, always putting others first. Whether she was creating beautiful crafts or hosting family gatherings, Mom filled our home with love and kindness. She will be remembered for her hearty laughter, her wonderful cooking and her unbelievable hugs. She was the most incredible mother, grandma and great grandma, who devoted her life to her children. She taught us how to love and she was our everything. All that we are or ever hope to be, we owe to our mother. Her legacy as a loving mother continues to inspire us and her spirit lives on in the values she instilled. Our loved filled memories of her we
will treasure forever. Greatly loved, deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Sikkema, Paige Baert, the staff of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Bayshore Staff for their compassionate care.
