LECLAIR, Brenda Leclair

With heavy hearts we announce that Brenda Marie Murphy Leclair, age 58, passed away peacefully on the evening of September 28, 2025, surrounded by her family at Wallaceburg Sydenham Hospital.

Brenda was a mom before anything else, a devoted mother to Nathan and Kylie Leclair (Marcus) and a loving bonus mom to Michael, and the late Judith and Michelle Leclair, fondly remembered by their father Frank Leclair. She was the brightest light in her granddaughter Marlie’s world. Brenda will be forever loved by her father Tom Murphy and his wife Doreen, and predeceased by her mother Rose Murphy. Brenda was also predeceased by her first husband John Lucier

She was a proud big sister to Debb Rogers (Keith) and Jeff Murphy (Charity), Rosa Murphy (Jason), Amanda Murphy (Chris), Renee Russell and the late Ron Russell. Her circle of love extended to many friends, especially her best friends Deanna Paradis and Joanne Valiquette, who shared endless laughter, conversation, and countless cups of coffee with her.

Brenda spent her early years as a hairdresser and later worked at the YA Typing Centre. She had a love for classic films like Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz, early 90s music, and long drives spent singing with her daughter and granddaughter. She enjoyed word puzzles, afternoon naps, sushi, cozy nightgowns, and long phone calls with the people she cared about.

She will be remembered for her big heart, her gratitude for life’s simple things, her signature hoop earrings, and her love of the color pink. Brenda’s warmth and kindness filled every room she entered, from bingo nights in earlier years to quiet, cherished time with family and friends.

Brenda’s love was the kind that built homes, healed hurts, and turned ordinary days into memories worth keeping. It will echo in the laughter of her family, in the music sung on long drives, and in the small, tender moments she taught everyone to treasure. Her presence cannot be replaced, but her love will stay woven into the lives of all who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Thursday, October 2, 2025 for visitation from 1-2:30pm and for her funeral service at 3pm. Brenda will be laid to rest during a private ceremony at Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Cherished stories and tributes may be left for the family at www.CavanaghFuneralHome.ca
