LEGUE, Brice Christopher Legue

It is with profound sadness, and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Brice Legue. He left us on June 5th, 2025 at the age of 52, surrounded by his loved ones.

Beloved son of Jean Lyttle (Bob) and the late Brian Legue. Proud father to Michaela (Mat), Payton (Pumpkin), Kendra, Makenna (Peanut) Legue, cherished brother to Michelle Duchak (Kevin), twin Barb Evans (Steve), Heather Jansen (Dave), and the late Joanne Lyttle. Though they parted ways, Debra Fenton was the love of his life, their years together brought deep friendship, laughter, and the greatest joy of all, their beautiful daughters. Brice is survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Brice was part of Union 663, a red seal welder by trade, where he built lasting friendships and earned the deep respect of his peers through his dedication, skills, and unwavering work ethic. The water was where our daddy’s soul felt most at home, although the rink was his second home – a place where he found joy, freedom, and lifelong friendships. His love for hockey stayed with him through every chapter of life.

He brought joy into every room with his jokes, his stories, and that unforgettable laughter; he had a smile that could illuminate any space. No one was ever a stranger to him, just a friend he hadn’t met yet.

We would like to kindly thank Dr. Cameron and all of the ICU staff at University Hospital for their kindness and grace for Brice and our family during the duration of his care.

True to his nature, he would probably shrug and say, “It is what it is.” And while our hearts are heavy, we know he’d want us to smile through the tears.

Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday June 10th, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. All are welcome to join in honouring the life so deeply loved and beautifully lived. We invite those attending to bring a memory, photo, or story to share. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Brice’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or MS Society, a cause close to his heart.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at McKinlay Funeral Home.
