LEHMANN, Donald Wayne Lehmann

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Wayne Lehmann on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Listowel Memorial Hospital, at the age of 82.

Born on January 2, 1943, Donald was the beloved son of the late William and Helen (Asmussen) Lehmann. He was the devoted husband of Sharon (Beaty) Lehmann, with whom he shared a loving marriage of nearly 62 years, having wed on December 7, 1963.

Donald was a proud and loving father to Virginia (Tim) Herbert and Ken (Linda) Lehmann. He was a cherished grandfather to Brandon Lehmann, Travis (Jaime) Lehmann, and Keely (Jordan) de Vries, and a doting great-grandfather to Kianna, Sierra, Grace, Madden, and Ila. His family was his pride and joy, and he was deeply proud of their accomplishments and the strong bonds they shared.

He is survived by his brother Larry (Auldene), and was predeceased by his siblings Virginia and Billy. Donald will also be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Wilma Jordan (Cam – deceased), Marion (Bruce) Marquardt, Elva (Francis) Dietrich, and Richard (Heather) Beaty. He was predeceased by Bruce Beaty.

Donald will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Donald had a deep passion for fishing, hunting, and walking in the bush. Nature brought him peace, and he found great joy in being outside or in his garage listening to Johnny Cash. He had an unwavering love for all of his dogs, a bond that was known and admired by all who knew him.

He spent his working life proudly behind the wheel as a truck driver—a passion that carried through generations, as he watched both his son and grandson follow in his footsteps.

Donald lived a life marked by hard work, deep love for his family, and a genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures. His presence will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the wonderful care and compassion all of the staff at the Listowel hospital showed towards dad and our family.

Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Linwood. A celebration of Donald’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton.

As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Listowel Memorial Hospital or the Humane Society through the funeral home website.
