It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Janet McDougall (Lemay) on March 5, 2025, at the age of 73, with her family by her side.
Born in Quebec City and raised in Smiths Falls from the age of 4, Janet was the beloved wife of Lee McDougall for 54 beautiful years. She will be forever cherished by her daughter Jacquie Blaney (Dwayne) and remembered fondly by her late son Neil McDougall (Geneva), with whom she now reunites in peace.
Janet was a loving grandmother to Kennedy Blaney and Hunter McDougall, whose blue eyes will always carry her legacy. She is survived by her siblings Guy (Donna), Faye (James), Lynn (Cahl), and Danny (Darlene), as well as her in-laws Linda, Terrie, Brian (Linda), and Murray. She is predeceased by her siblings Larry, Dave, and Karen.
Janet was known for her humor, her joy on the dance floor, and her dedication during her 34 years with Bell Canada. Outside of work, she supported her children in hockey and figure skating, loved sewing for others, and found joy in her ladies dart league later in life.
A heartfelt thank you to the PSWs, nurses, paramedics, staff at Rexall, and doctors who supported her with care and compassion.
