LENNICK, John Douglas Lennick

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Gardens Ajax after a brief battle with cancer.

Dear son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Predeceased by his father, John “Jack” Lennick. Survived by his mother, Margaret Lennick, his sister, Aileen Lennick (Klaudusz), and his nephews Jacob Klaudusz and Branden Klaudusz.

Doug will be remembered as one who persevered, worked hard, brought life to a room with his smile, laugh and sense of humour. Doug had a love for camping, outdoors, concerts, rock and roll, sports (especially Toronto Maple Leafs), animals and so much more. He was a caring and kind man who would lend a helping hand when needed. Doug enjoyed getting together with friends and family, touched many lives, and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date, details to be announced. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to your local humane society.

I give you this, one thought to keep. I am with you still, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone, I am with you still in each new dawn.
