Bird LeonardBIRD, Leonard Allan – Entered into rest on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Leonard Bird was the beloved husband of Barbara Bird (nee Eason).  Loving father of George (Alicia) and Andrew (Sara).  Loved grandfather of Abbygale and Cooper. 

Dear brother of Barbara Hubbs (Sonny deceased), Gloria Brebant (Willard), Shirley Kellar, Marie McGregor (Don), Linda O’Shaughnessy (Mike), Robert Bird (Marlene) and the late Frances Black (Jim deceased) and Delbert Bird (Linda). 

Predeceased by his parents George and Gertrude Bird (nee Trenear). 

A longtime decorated scout leader and instructor for Scouts Canada.

A private family service was held on December 30, 2015.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 317 Hunter Street W., Peterborough, Ontario on January 16, 2016 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

In memory of Leonard, donations to the Peterborough Alzheimer Association or The John Howard Society of Peterborough would be appreciated by the family.
