LESSARD, Jim Lessard
November 20, 1957 - November 22, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Patrick Lessard, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world on November 22, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on November 20, 1957, in Windsor, Jim lived a life full of love, laughter, and the simple joys of nature. Jim was the cherished son of Richard and Louella Lessard (nee Meloche). He grew up in Tecumseh, where he formed strong connections with his family and community. He was the proud husband of Glenda (nee Weinz), with whom he shared a remarkable 43 years of marriage, a testament to their unwavering love and partnership. They celebrated their union on September 11, 1982, and together they raised two wonderful children, James (Kardyn) and Cory, who were the pride and joy of his life. As a grandfather, Jim found immense happiness in his role, especially in the company of his grandson, JT. He adored spending time with him, sharing in the wonders of life and offering wisdom gained from his experiences. Jim’s family was his world, and he took great joy in the moments spent together, whether it was a weekend fishing trip or simply enjoying the great outdoors. In addition to his immediate family, Jim is survived by his loyal dog, Blue, who brought him companionship and comfort. He leaves behind five siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a man of few words but always expressed his happiness and humor through a warm grin and a well-timed joke. In his professional life, Jim was partial business owner of R Lessard Trucking LTD. He put his heart and soul into his work. His hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors; he cherished fishing and hunting, finding peace and solace in nature, which was a source of inspiration and joy for him. His quiet nature showed a heart full of kindness; he was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Windsor Essex Cancer Clinic. A special thank you is extended to the dedicated nurses and staff at WRH- Met Campus 4 West for their compassion and kindness during this difficult time. A celebration of life in Jims’s honour will be held at Windsor Chapel – Banwell (11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, ON) on November 26, 2025, from 2-5 and 7-9 with words of remembrance at 8 pm.
