LIU, Wing Hei Liu

Passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, in Whitby, Ontario, at the age of 88.
Born in Hong Kong, Wing Hei built his life on hard work, perseverance, and a deep devotion to his family. In Hong Kong, he ran his own construction business, demonstrating both skill and determination. After immigrating to Canada, he continued to work tirelessly, taking on various jobs to support his family and build a better future for them. His quiet strength and work ethic were evident to all who knew him.

He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was thoughtful, considerate, and deeply devoted to his loved ones. He showed care not through grand gestures, but through steady presence, reliability, and kindness. Those closet to him knew they could always count on him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Po Har Lam, and his children, Howard, Carol (Howard’s wife), and Monica. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In his quiet moments, Wing Hei found great enjoyment in reading the wuxia novels of Jin Yong, immersing himself in stories of honor, loyalty, and resilience – values that reflected much of his own life.

Wing Hei Liu will be remembered for his humility, diligence, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he so faithfully cared for.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow.
