LIUT , Caterina Liut

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Milton District Hospital on Thursday July 31, 2025 at the age of 92. She was a dedicated and loving mother, Nonna and Bisnonna. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Giovanni “John” (March 21, 2025).

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marialuisa (Steve), grandchildren Monica (Evan), Stefan (Alana) and their father Gabriele Bertuzzi (Paola) and her son Matteo. She is also missed by her great-grandchildren Koen and Tanner.

Caterina was an avid seamstress who also knitted and crocheted and her beautiful voice graced the choir at Holy Rosary Church for many years. Her talent for growing and keeping orchids was well known. She will be deeply missed.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday August 5, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E., Milton (905) 878-4452. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Rosary Church, 139 Martin St., Milton on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Milton Evergreen Cemetery.
