Zimmerman LloydZIMMERMAN, Lloyd  –

1934 – 2023

 

It is with extreme sorrow that we announce the passing of Lloyd, at home, on July 31st, after a long illness.

 

He leaves behind beloved children, Brett (Darlene), Tracy Bilecki (Bill), John (Alice Miao); and his devoted partner, Donna Wilkie.

 

Predeceased by daughters, Kandy and Terry; and loving wife, Betty.

 

He was the proud grandfather of Justin (Brenda), Jesse, Ashley, Luke and Matthew; and great-grandfather to Alexander and Amelia.

 

Born in Slovakia, the family immigrated to Canada and made a home in Oil Springs, Ontario.

 

Lloyd was an excellent athlete and student and became a teacher and Principal with the Scarborough Board of Education.

 

A voracious reader, Lloyd especially loved history and amassed an extensive library. R

 

etirement included travels with family, painting, spending countless hours enjoying his indoor pool, and attending monthly poker games with friends.

 

We will all miss his love, humour and zest for a life well lived.

 

A reception will be held at Giffen Mack, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough, on Monday, August 7th, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
