WOOD, Lois Muriel  – Following a lengthy and brave battle with cancer, Lois Muriel Wood (nee Patterson), of Kleinburg, passed away, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Wood (1928-2011); she will be lovingly remembered by her children: Jo-Ann (Bill) Young, Debra (Greg) Robinson, and Karen (Todd) Burton; grandchildren: Adam Duncan, Amanda (Sandro) Mura, Andrew Robinson, Jennifer (late Matthew) Cleland, and Jason Burton; great-grandson, Kenneth; sister, Adele (late Henry) Caseley; sister, Audrey (late George) Sant; and brother, Allan (Ruth) Patterson; sisters-in-law, Nancy (late Milford) Moffat and Sheila (late Bill) Wood.

She will be missed by her many nephews and nieces, and fondly remembered by her many neighbours and friends. Lois was a proud retiree from the York University Staff Association, a dedicated fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and a quiet volunteer for local organizations.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton. The Burton Family will be available for condolences from 3-5 p.m., the Young and Robinson Family from 6-8 p.m. The Funeral will be held on Thursday morning, July 6, 2023, at 11 a.m., a private family interment will follow the ceremony.
