Hans passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, after a brief and intense illness.

He will be greatly missed by his wife and soulmate, Anna Thomas, and their dog Lexi.

Hans, with his quick, witty sense of humor and his gentle, caring manner, will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A man of many talents, Hans was notably a skilled woodworker and a passionate gardener. He built numerous pieces of beautiful furniture for their home and spent many happy hours with Anna buying interesting plant specimens at local nurseries. He took great pride and joy in the gardens they created together.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Southlake Hospital for their care during his illness.

In place of flowers, please plant a tree or flowering perennial in Hans’ memory.
