LUCIER, Inez Lucier

Inez Lorraine Lucier (née Johnston) passed peacefully from this world, at “almost” 90 years young, on the morning of May 31st, 2025, with her loving children beside her.

Married to Gerald Joseph Lucier for 61 years, Inez raised two children, Joe and Deborah, to live with compassion and kindness. A proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family, love, and generosity.

Inez worked for many years at King Agro (later Pride Seeds), loved her flower gardens, and had a deep passion for animal rescue. At 75, she returned to school to learn computers and outpaced even her grandchildren online! A loyal Detroit Red Wings fan and a caregiver to many animals (except snakes!), she truly embraced life.

A visitation will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rat Terrier Rescue Canada Inc., Canadian Cancer Society, London Health Sciences Foundation, or Chatham Kent Hospice Foundation are appreciated.
