It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucrecia “Lucy” Pereira on January 17, 2025, at Ajax Pickering Hospital. Born in Brazil in 1928, Lucy immigrated to Canada in 1969, where she built a wonderful life for her family and enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Rosenthal (china and gifts).

Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Benedito Pereira (2019), and her cherished daughter, Yara (2021). She is survived by her loving children Sylvia and Ubirajara (Berrey) (Teri) Pereira, and her adored grandchildren Giseli, Jessie (Roy), Danny (Samantha), Carla (Chris), Lauren, and Eric. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Elijah, Thais, Naiima, Ben, Ryelle, Arielle, and Isaiah. Lucy will be remembered fondly by her many close friends and extended family.
