LUZON, Ritchard Louzon
August 30, 2025
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to, Ritchard Dean Louzon the light of our lives whose boundless zest for living will be cherished and remembered forever. He passed away too soon but not before touching the lives of so many with his family by his side, he gained his angel wings on August 30, 2025 at the age of 62.
Rick is the son of James and Doreen Louzon, husband and soul mate of 40 years to Annette Louzon. Loving father, best friend “Papa Cheese” of Samantha Richardson (Justin), Amanda Louzon (Stephen). Dear “pops” of Hudson. Brother of Brian Louzon (Yvette), Dan Louzon (Anne), Dwayne Louzon (Patrizia). Brother-in-Law of Lisa Labombard, Terry Tedford (Kevin), Ellen-Jo Boschert (Jamie). Pre- deceased by his beloved in-laws, late Allan and Deloras Croucher, and his grandparents Earl and Leona Bishop and Joseph and Margaret Van Praet. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Rick lived life to the fullest as he says “Get R done” life is too short. He truly did. He began working on the farm at a young age but decided to put some miles on by driving transport for a few years eventually finding his way back to his “home” on the farm. He was truly devoted to his work, he took great pride in the farm which had been in his family for generations. Under his care, it thrived and became a place where values were not just spoken but lived: patience, perseverance and gratitude for natures gifts. He believed in the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the quiet dignity of a job well done. From the break of dawn until the stars filled the sky, Rick could be found tending to his crops, fixing farm equipment or helping a neighbour in need-always with humility and unwavering dedication. There was nothing he loved more then being at his “happy place” (the farm). He’s now farming heaven’s fields.
Although Rick’s time on this earth was short, he lived every second, filling it with as much life and love as possible. A family man to the core, his children and grandson were his pride and joy. He found delight in the simple things-Sunday dinners filled with laughter, long combine and quad rides under open skies and dusty fields, washing vehicles until they gleamed and most of all spending time with the family he loved beyond measure.
Rick was the kind of guy who could light up a room just by walking in. Always up for a good time, he never needed a reason to crack open a cold beer or share a laugh. That smile, genuine, easy and ever- present; was his trademark. And his laugh, contagious, you could hear it from across the room and find yourself grinning before you even knew why. Whether it was a backyard BBQ, an ice fishing trip or just a quiet night with family and friends he brought warmth, joy and a laid-back charm that made every moment better. Life was never too serious around him, and somehow, he reminded everyone to enjoy the little things.
If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. Cya, Love ya, Bye.
To the doctors who gave us more time, more memories and more hope- thank you for your tireless dedication, your steady hands and your compassionate hearts. You didn’t just treat a patient: you helped save a husband, father and grandfather, for that we are forever grateful, Dr. Nicholas Power, Dr. Victoria Turnbull and Dr. Eric Winquest at London Health Science Center and his family doctor, Dr. Kristen McCulloch and our home care nurse team Bobbi VanDamme.
