On December 6, 2025 Cheryl Lynne Phillips peacefully passed away with her loving daughter Karla Evans ( Sam Verlint ) by her side in her 82nd year. Born August 24, 1944 to Gordon Archibald Phillips and Betty Norma Jenkinson, a loving Nana to Maddy Verlint, Dakota Verlint, Aiden Brear, Jacob Smith and Avery Verlint. Adored by her great grandchildren Johnny Cotie, Harlyn O’Hara, Delilah Shank and Jolene Cotie.
Remembered by her siblings Darlene Phillips, Chum Phillips (Judy Phillips nee Moodie) and Deb Phillips (Bill Macropoulos). Loved by her niece Jennifer Phillips, and nephews Mark Phillips, Dean Howley and Brandon Howley. Adored by her close friend Tammy Langkamer-Hardcastle, who was always there when she needed her the most. A woman who dedicated her life to nursing and gave her heart to caring for others both inside and outside the hospital walls. Her compassion, strength, and steady presence touched countless lives, offering comfort when it was needed most.
Beyond her profession, she was a loving mother and grandmother whose family was always at the center of her world. She nurtured with the same kindness she brought to her patients, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. She was always our biggest cheerleader; banging on the hockey arena glass and cheering louder than anyone else in the stands. Her legacy lives on in the lives she healed and the family she cherished so deeply. She reminded us that for her, life was far too short.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Dunnville Community Lifespan Center.
