MACKAY, Wayne Grant Mackay Obituary

MACKAY, Wayne Grant – Wayne’s courageous battle came to an end on September 30, 2015.  

He passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and daughter at his side. Beloved Husband of Carol (Overholt) who he shared 51 wonderful years with. Dearest Dad to Dawn and Guy Charlebois. Special Papa to twin Granddaughters Jade and Genie and Grandson Guy. Son of the late Don and Marg Mackay. Loving Brother of Judy Gaudet (Howell, Mi), Darlene Gaudet (1998), Don (2011), Bob and Penny Mackay and Carolyn Gagnon.

Special Brother-in-law to Dave and Joy Harris, Jack and Sue Overholt (Brussels, Ont), Holly and Doug Freker, Ron (2015) and Starr (2009). Cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind long standing friends Willie Palko and Mike Pavicic. Wayne had an extensive bowling career.

He was inducted into the Windsor/ Essex County Bowling Hall of Fame in 1985 and was a former owner of the Golden Mile Lanes and Super Bowl Lanes.

It was Wayne’s wishes that there be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place and a family interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens is to follow at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
