MACKEY, James Edward Mackey  – Former partner of Mackey Funeral Home, lifetime resident of Lindsay and current resident of Adelaide Place.

Entered into rest on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Adelaide Place, in his 96th year.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret (Jardine); also predeceased by his parents, James and Myrtle Mackey; his sisters, Hazel (Robert Harpur), Margaret (William Walker), and Myrtle (Kenneth MacArthur); and brothers, Linden (Velma), and Gordon (Kathlyne); and infant brother, Walter.

Loving father of David, Douglas and Dr. Barbara (Dr. Rainer Loiskandl). Loving grandfather of Lorena, Evan, Erin, Alexa (Justin DeMerchant), Anna, Ava and Michael. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place.

Visitation at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, from 12:00 till 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 4, 2024, followed by a Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m., interment of ashes at Riverside Cemetery.

Reception to follow at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay St. N., Lindsay, following the interment.

Memorial donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Paul’s Anglican Church, would be appreciated by the family.
