It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gordon Douglas MacLean in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, on September 9^th, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Olivia Veda MacLean (2020). Loving father of Irene Thompson (late John), Marion (Darryl) Layman, Doug (Adrianna) MacLean, James MacLean, and Randy Hart (Kris Dumagain). Gordon was the proud grandpa of 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Beloved brother of the late John MacLean. A special thank you to Gordon’s PSW, CJ for taking the best care of Gordon.

Gordon MacLean proudly served 34 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, earning the respect of all who knew him. Off duty, he found peace in the outdoors—whether tracking game through the woods or casting a line into quiet waters. A man of service and solitude, Gordon lived with purpose, passion, and deep respect for both our country and nature.

Friends may gather on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 11:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF PARKHILL.Once the gathering is complete, everyone is welcome to Gordon’s shop for a fish fry, 155 King Street, Thedford.
