In Loving Memory

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexander George MacLellan, who passed away peacefully at Glen Hill Strathaven on February 11, 2025, at the age of 89.

Alex was the beloved husband of Edna, a devoted father to Michelle (Kurt) and Dennis (Rose), and a cherished stepfather to Mike (Rhonda) and Kristen (Randy). He was a loving brother to Deborah, Brian, and Kevin, and was predeceased by his sisters Evelyn and Anne. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Margo. A proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Alex’s love and wisdom will live on through his family.

A man of great intellect and wit, Alex had a distinguished career at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. His passion for sports led him to coach the college curling team, guiding them to two Ontario Championshipsβ€”a testament to his love for the game.

Alex’s service to his country was a source of great pride, having served in the Canadian Navy in the engineering branch. His discipline, hard work, and loyalty carried over into every aspect of his life.

A lifelong Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Lions supporter, Alex never wavered in his devotion to his teams. His sharp mind and dry humor were his trademarks, endearing him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Alex leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Forever in our hearts.
