MADEIRA, Acacio Branco madeira

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Cass Madeira, who went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2025, at the age of 56.

Left to hold him dear to their hearts are his parents Fernanda and Cesar; brother Danny (Jamie); nephews Lincoln and Knox; and cousin Christine Pires, who, for a time, grew up in the same household as Cass and is like a sister.

Cass was born in Oliver, BC on January 9, 1969. He was a good man who could be stubborn at times, but was always the first to lend a hand when someone needed help. He liked things done his way and didn’t hide it when they weren’t, but that honesty was part of what made him who he was. Cass lived with diabetes from the age of nine and faced it with quiet strength. He was a great cook who could make a meal out of just about anything, and he loved history and music, always curious about the stories behind them. His compassion extended to animals, and he loved his pets dearly.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Prayers will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 4:00 pm, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 am (PST), located at St. Charles Garnier Parish, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, BC. Burial will take place afterwards, and a reception will follow back at St. Charles.Â
