PIETTE-OATES, Madison Piette-Oates

Piette Oates MadisonPIETTE-OATES, Madison  –

May 16, 1992 – June 30, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our sweet Madison, on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the age of 31; only 6 days following her beautiful wedding day.

Beloved wife of Warren Oates and “Mom” to their dog, Stormi.

Forever in their hearts, loving daughter of Laura and Frank Piette.

Loving and cherished sister of Morgan Piette-Kuntz and husband, Tyler.

Adored auntie to Mila and Bryton. Precious granddaughter of Rosemarie McGregor, Liz Piette; and predeceased grandparents, Cam and Peggy Eagleson and Carl Piette. Treasured and lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Terribly missed by her new in-laws, the Oates, Baranas, and Wedderburn family. She blossomed while growing up in Streetsville; then excelled as a University of Waterloo graduate who loved her City of Mississauga Recreation career. She will be sorely missed by her colleagues and community groups.

Madison’s “joie de vivre” included famjams, friends, laughter, travel, cottages, Blue Jays, Raptors, cricut DIY, theme parties, country music, balloon art, dog walks, beaches, sunsets, trips to Las Vegas, Nashville, Arizona, Canada’s west and prosecco toasts.

She brought a light so bright in the world that even after she is gone her light remains.

Forever with the angels. Forever in our hearts.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel Chapel,” 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Highway 10, north of QEW), on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow with a private interment at Briar Hill Cemetery, near her family’s Lake Simcoe cottage.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Mississauga Jerry Love Children’s Fund.
