Mario (Maiky) Maduro passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 19, 2025.

Maiky was born to the late Mario Maduro and the late Anita Maduro, in Cura Cabay, Aruba, on April 9, 1939. Beloved eldest brother to his siblings: Gisela (Chi Chi), Carlos, Ali, Rubia, Evelyne (predeceased) Norma, Calvin (predeceased), Marlon, Franklin and Jannette.

Predeceased by his best friend and soulmate, of 60 years, Glenda Maduro (Mansur). Maiky and Glenda moved to Canada and lived a simple and humble life dedicated to God and their family. Maiky was a gifted and respected auto mechanic in both Aruba and Toronto, known not only for his skill but also his integrity and quiet strength.

Maiky was a wonderful and devoted father to Mario Maduro Jr, Farrel Maduro and Elaine Rawn.

Proud Grampa to Brady and Jordan (Asia) Rawn and Farrah Maduro and proud Great “Grampsie” to Ellesandra Rawn.

Maiky will be deeply missed by his extended family, including his many nieces and nephews, his friends, as well as those who cared for him. His daughter-in-law, Zenah Masri, shared a special bond with him, and his personal support workers—Cindy, Dana, Precious, Millicent, and Aida—held a cherished place in his heart.

Maiky’s life was a quiet testament to dedication, faith and hard work. He will be greatly missed. May God grant him eternal rest.

A Catholic mass funeral will be held for Maiky at St Joseph the Worker Parish in Oshawa Ontario on August 28, 2025, at 10:30am.
