MAGGIO , Eugenio Maggio

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eugenio Maggio, in his 80th year. Eugenio passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Residence (at Chedoke), in Hamilton. Eugenio is now reunited with his beloved wife, Remedios Maggio; as well as his cherished parents, Giuseppe and Angelica Maggio; and his dear brother, Antonino Maggio.

Sadly, Eugenio leaves behind his children, Viola Maggio Lundy (Arnold) and Boots A. Maggio; his adored grandchildren, Ewan, Emma Beth, and Mason Lundy; his siblings in Italy, Nicola (the late Sara) Maggio and Enza (Enrico) Boni.

Eugenio will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews in the Hamilton area, as well as in Italy, and cousins in the United States. He will be forever missed by Olga and other dear friends.

Friends and family are welcome to P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave, on Thursday, August 21st from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place the following day, Friday, August 22nd, in the funeral home’s chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
