MAIDA, Marianne Rosemarie Maida

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful Mother, Marianne Maida. She passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by her family.

Our Mother was the heart of our family. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, swimming, refinishing furniture, yearly trip to the casino, online gaming, playing on her ipad and spending time with her daughters, grandsons and son in law playing cards every weekend. She also enjoyed road trips and coffee time with her best friend Syd almost every day for many years. She was extremely blessed with 20 years of retirement from AGS to enjoy all the things she loved to do. Everyone who knew her loved her beyond measure.

She was born in Breslau, Germany, to parents Lotte and Alfred. She leaves behind her children; (Greg Maida (Denise)estranged), Cindy Maida, Sandy Burtch (Jeff), grandkids Jesse Greenwood, Joshua Greenwood, (Natalie Maida, Melissa Maida(estranged), and many extended family members and friends who will carry her love with them always. She was preceded in death by her siblings Helga, Horst, Peter, Harry and Renata.

A Memorial will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., on Saturday February 7th, 2026 from 1p.m.- 4p.m.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
