MALLETTE, Gerard Mallette

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gerard Mallette announces his passing on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his beloved first wife and mother of his children, Jacqueline (née Labelle) Mallette, as well as his beloved second wife, Murielle Aubé-Boissonneault. Dear father of Lynn Gravelle (Marty), Paul Mallette (Natalie), Jean Mallette (Kirsten) and dear stepfather of Luc Boissonneault (Suzanne) and Alain Boissonneault (Sheri). Exceptional grandfather to Katelynn, Ashley, Ashton, Nathan, Devon, Makayla, Carson, Joelle, Erik, Noah, and Nina. Brother of Maurice Mallette, Daniel Mallette (Suzanne), and Denis Mallette (Diane). He is also fondly remembered by the Labelle family, who held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind many family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Armand and Valentine (née Dubien) Mallette and his sister Suzanne Labelle (née Mallette) (Raymond). Gerry lived a full life. He worked as a superintendent at the waferboard plant, owned Jackie’s Pet Palace, was a cancer survivor, a man of strong faith in God, and above all, a devoted family man. His unwavering love for his friends, his family, and his relationship with God gave him strength to keep fighting until the very end. A man of his own kind. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at the Timmins and District Hospital – St. Mary’s site for the wonderful care they provided to Gerry. Remembrance donations to the HSN Foundation – Northern Cancer Research would be greatly appreciated. Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from the Notre-dame-de-la-paix church (Fr. Richard Ngoy officiating). The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
