MARCHETTI, Quinto Marchetti

A resident of Chatham, Quinto Marchetti passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on February 9, 2026 at the age of 90.

Born in Pietralta, Valle Castellanna, Italy, Quinto was the son of the late Eugenio and Maria (née Ortenzi) Marchetti.

Married in Nova Scotia 71 years ago to loving wife Nancy (née Di Flavio). They moved to Chatham in 1956 where they settled down and raised their family.

Loving father to Anna and Gianni Marchetti and they will cherish him forever.

Brother to Domenico (Gina) Marchetti and Loretta Marchetti and predeceased by siblings Lena Gardina, Giovanni Marchetti and Angelo Marchetti.

He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Quinto was an avid gardener, he enjoyed sharing his harvest with family, friends and neighbours. He was well known among his friends for his wine making skills and loved to share a bottle with them. Quinto was full of humor and loved to share funny stories. He enjoyed making his family and friends laugh and found great joy in the smaller things of life.

A private family service to take place, interment to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
