PORTSMOUTH, Margaret (nee CAMERON)  –

September 18, 1941 – June 18, 2023

Margaret passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Margaret was born in Paisley, Scotland, in 1941 and immigrated to Canada with Barry in 1967.

Her daughter, Pamela, was born in 1968. Margaret and her family travelled extensively during her life, returning to the UK regularly, as well as visiting places such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Hawaii and Australia.

Margaret and Barry also spent many winters in their favourite place, Naples, Florida.

Before her retirement, Margaret and Barry owned The Tartan Cottage, an import store in Oakville, Ontario.

Grandson, Henry, was born in 2004 and was the light of her life. Margaret and Barry have lived in Etobicoke for the past 15 years and enjoyed many walks along Lake Ontario.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of almost 58 years, Barry; her daughter, Pamela; son-in-law, Scott Young; grandson, Henry; brother, Ewan in Scotland; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Etobicoke, at 10:30 a.m., immediately followed by a short Reception at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W., Etobicoke.
