DI MATTEO, Mariai –   Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Maria, age 86, beloved wife of Donato for 66 years, was adored by all. Caring and devoted mother to Gene (Silvia), Frances (Walter), Lina (Steve) and John (Pereina).

Proud and loving Nonna to Diane (Marc), Erica, Lisa, Jennifer (Robin), John, Melissa (Carlo), Daniel, Alexa and Tessa; Bis Nonna to David, Mackenzie, Nathan and Dylan. Maria will be fondly remembered for her unconditional love, generous spirit and as an exceptional cook.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Dorothy Ley Hospice staff for the care and compassion they gave Maria.

The family will receive visitors at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd. East from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. A

Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Wednesday at 12 noon.
