BOYD, Marie –  Kiishebwetaamoog Sturgeon Clan  June 8, 1949 – October 8, 2015

Marie Boyd, age 66 years, resident of Kenora, passed away at Lake of the Woods District Hospital on Thursday, October 8, 2015.

Marie enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and blueberry picking.

Marie is predeceased by her father Thomas Boyd; mother Annie Boyd; brothers and sisters Sarah McDonald, Gordon Boyd, Robert Boyd, Holly Boyd, Florence King, Molly Land, Dan Boyd, Ralph Boyd, Bella Boyd, Bert Boyd and Lorraine Boyd; daughters Agnes Boyd, Sally Boyd and Louwella Boyd; grandson Greg Boyd; granddaughters Carol Boyd and Sophie Fisher; and grandson Peter Thivierge.

She is survived by her children Helen Boyd (Gabe), Henry Dean Beardmore (Celine); Maria Beardmore, Eva Boyd and William Boyd; grandchildren Annie Boyd, Gordon Boyd, Gavin Boyd, Orlando Boyd, William Boyd, Henry Fisher, Emma Fisher, Peter Fisher, Archie Fisher, Nathan Beardmore, Henryetta Boyd, Janet Smith, Derrick Boyd, Billy Boyd and Mary Elizabeth Boyd; relatives Joe Boyd and siblings, Ray Wawence and siblings, and George Boyd and siblings; as well as nephews and nieces too numerous to mention.

Marie’s family would like to thank the nurses at ICU for the good care shown to her. Also, Miigwech to Dorothy Indian for her comforting words.

The wake will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 beginning at 1:00pm at the Whitedog Community Hall.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 beginning at 10:00am at the Community Hall.
