NICHOLSON, Marilyn Ruth – 1934 – 2015

Peacefully with her family by her side at the VON Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, Marilyn (Knott) Nicholson of Tillsonburg (formerly of Culloden) passed away in her 81st year.

Beloved wife of 51 years to the late Fred Nicholson (2010).

Loving & devoted mother to Laurie Nicholson of London, and Paul Nicholson and his wife Diane of Culloden. Loving and special grandmother to Devin and Meagan Nicholson, and special ‘adopted’ grandmother to Donna Capener. Sister to Jim & Loreene Knott, Don Knott, Bob & Lillian Knott, Dave & Hedda Knott, Bill & Bonnie Knott. Step-sister to Dorothy Taylor, Alberta Esler, and aunt to several nieces & nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Maurice and Gesia (Black) Knott, brother George Knott, step-sisters Rita and Lydia (stillborn) and step-brother Clifton (child), parents-in-law Frank and Emily Nicholson, sister-in-law Irene Knott and brother-in-law Glen Nicholson and his wife Bernice.

Family and friends will be received at the Ostrander’s Funeral Home Ltd., 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment. 

Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, VON Sakura House, Avondale United Church or to the Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family.
