MARINI , Nerina Marini (née Iobbi)

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Lorenzo Marini (1987). Dearly loved mother of Gianna Marini, and Alex “Sandy” Marini (Judy-Anne). Doting Nonna of Daniel Marini. Also fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and their families. Nerina was predeceased by her three sisters; Delfina Romano, Margherita Pulzoni, Barbara Iobbi, and by a brother, Quinto Iobbi.

Born in Mosciano Sant’Angelo, Italy, December 25, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Elisena (née Di Pasquale) Iobbi. Nerina was a retired employee of Clevite, St. Thomas. She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, St. Thomas. Nerina was passionate about cooking and gardening. She tended to her roses, flower beds, vegetables (especially her tomatoes), and fruit trees with a great amount of care.

The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm (Prior viewing from 12:00 – 12:50 pm). Interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Flowers respectfully declined. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be appreciated.
