MARSHALL, Leome Edythe Marshall

Leome danced her way to heaven at 97 years old!
Beloved wife of the late Allan Marshall (2015) of 61 years. Leome was predeceased by her loving parents Mary (1981) and Edward (1980) Laing of New Toronto, by her sisters: Olga Barker Buick (2007) and Elsie (known as Valerie) MacIntosh (2012), and by her son-in-law Bruce Bones (2023). Leome was a kind, treasured wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Lynda (Dan) Ongaro and Dayle Bones; by her grandchildren Katie (Robb with wee great grandson, Remy), Jennifer and Stephanie Ongaro, and Mark (Courtney) Bones, and Daniel (Savannah) Bones.

Leome loved to reminisce about her teen years dancing and playing the piano accordion for the WWII troops prior to their deployment overseas. The “Cooper and Meek Starlet Revue” entertained troops at various locations such as Camp Borden and the Royal Alexander Theatre. Leome never lost her passion for music and dance, even sharing her graceful moves with her fellow senior residents and staff two weeks prior to her passing. In 1943, Leome posed in her Victory dance Costume for the Toronto Star 5th Victory Bond Drive.

A heartfelt thanks to compassionate and professional staff at Willowgrove LTC (Ancaster), Waterford Memory Living (Oakville), and LaSalle Park Retirement Residence (Burlington).
