Shipp MarySHIPP, Mary – Passed away peacefully on Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of the late Albert ‘Lofty’ Shipp (2003).

Cherished sister of Elda (the late John) Roberts of Mississauga, Marie-Jose (the late Fabio) Domenegato of Maple, Quinto Bianchi of California and sister-in-law of Anne Murray of England.

Predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Ororina Bianchi, and sister Adelina and her husband Peter Cerantola.

She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, Sylvia (Silvio), Nick (Sharon), Tim (Marie), Joanne (Alan), Stephen (Lucy), Glen (Karen), Kevin (Senya), David (Theresa), Marina (John), and Andy (Jessica). She will be missed by Ron and Iris of England, Mara and Pino of Italy, and Shelley of Niagara Falls.

Mary was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, NS. Her family moved back to Fonzano in Belluno, Northern Italy in 1936.

During World War II, she met a British soldier stationed in her town. They married and moved to Haverhill, England in 1947. They eventually moved back to Canada to Niagara Falls in 1954, sailing on the Queen Mary. She worked at Ohio Brass and was a proud member of Club Bellunese for many years.

Friends are invited to call at the Patterson funeral home, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, Ontario for visiting Monday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow.

In memory of Mrs. Shipp, donations may be made to Heart Niagara, and would be appreciated by her family.
