MASOTTI, Erta Masotti

The family of Erta Masotti sadly announce that after a lifetime of loving care, she passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Zelio (2002). Loving mother of Liliana Toth (late Peter) and Livio (Lillian). Caring nonni of Derek Toth (Cindy), Erica Mollo (Angelo), Mary Masotti (Christopher), Lisa Masotti, and bis-nonni of Danica, Ronyn, Archer, Killian, and Harrison. Dear sister of Enrico Ortis (Rosa) and sister-in-law of Miranda. Predeceased by her parents John & Therese Ortis and by her brother Arti and infant brother Enrico.

Special thank you to the nurses and staff at Plymouth Cordage Retirement Home for their care, and to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Welland Hospital E.R. and 6th Floor for their compassion and care. Also, a special thanks to the staff at Paramed, Dr. Remington’s office and the Alzheimer’s Society.

The family will receive friends at the Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 123 King St. Port Colborne with Fr. Wesley Woloszyn as celebrant. Private Rite of Committal with Entombment at Pleasantview Mausoleum.
