MASSE , Susan Marie Masse

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Susan Masse. Susan passed away peacefully during her stay at The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County on August 13, 2025, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born to the late Ernest and Rita Rabideau, Susan was a devoted mother to Angy Masse (Evan Martin) and a proud, adoring Nana to Jacob Masse, who brought immense joy to her life. She was predeceased by her sister and will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and their wives as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Family was the heart of Susan’s world. She possessed a kind and generous spirit, always ready to help others and bring joy into their lives. Susan found her greatest enjoyment in life’s simple pleasures – sharing meals and creating memories with her family and friends filled her heart. Her soft spoken ways, her warmth, her love, and her laughter touched every life she encountered and will continue to live on in their hearts forever.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. in Windsor on Monday, August 18th from 3:00–5:00 pm and 7:00–9:00 pm. On Tuesday, August 19th, there will be a final visitation from 10:00–11:00 am, followed by the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at the Windsor Chapel – Banwell funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. A private family interment will be held at Victoria Memorial Gardens at a later date.

As an alternative to flowers, for those wishing to honor Susan’s memory, donations can be made to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County in appreciation of the support and care they provided to her and her family.
