MASTROIANNI, Maurizio Mastroianni
August 8, 1982 - October 31, 2025
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Maurizio Mastroianni on October 31, 2025, at the age of 43.
Beloved and devoted son of Santino and Dina (née Lepore) Mastroianni. Treasured big brother to Romeo, and now lovingly reunited in heaven with his brother Celestino (2019). Cherished grandson of Luisa Lepore. Adored nephew of Loreta, Rocco, and Rose. Maurizio will forever be remembered by his many cousins and extended family across Canada, Italy, and France. Proud and extraordinary Padrino to Lily and Kum to Noah. He will also be deeply missed by his countless friends, colleagues, and by all whose lives he brightened along his journey.
Maurizio was a proud graduate of Lawrence Technological University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in August 2006. His career began at Continental, where his 15 year dedication, talent and passion for innovation carried him from an internship to the role of Engineer Supervisor. His work took him around the world, where he embraced new experiences, cultures, and friendships that would last a lifetime. Most recently, Maurizio brought his expertise and enthusiasm to General Motors (GM), where he continued to excel.
Maurizio’s joy for life was evident in everything he did. He was the life of the party. The room lit up wherever he was present. He had a remarkable gift for making people smile, laugh and even dance. His talents were endless. whether it was completing multiple home projects and renovation or his talent in the kitchen. His famous personalized ciambelle, lovingly baked for every special occasion, became a symbol of his warmth and generosity. He continuously displayed his love towards his friends and family through everything he did. To Maurizio, friends were never “just friends”-they were his family. And to his “family,” he always reminded them simply: “I F-ing love you guys.”
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Maurizio’s life at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234), on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 4:30 p.m.
