MATHER, Glen Robert Mather   –  Passed away at the age of 73 surrounded by family at the beautiful Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, Ontario, on July 17, 2024.

Glen was born on January 19th, 1951, to his parents, Roderick and Lorraine Mather (both predeceased) in Toronto, Ontario.

Glen was loved by many- he was a husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Mather, whom he shared 48 years of marriage with and his children Rhonda (Chris), Tina (Derek), Jennifer (Jay) and Travis (Erin).

He will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren, Jessica, Brooklynn, Lawson, Logan, Dalnillo, Beau, Jadyn, Ava, and bonus grandson Gavin.

The family takes comfort in knowing his spirit now soars with siblings Gloria, Garry, Gordon, and Bradley; he will be greatly missed from remaining siblings Glenda, Gerald (Cathy) and Gregory. Glen was a beloved brother-in-law to so many and a best buddy and brother-in-law to Daniel. His little dog, Max will miss him the most.

In Glen’s free time he collected classic diecast cars and loved being active by playing cards, fishing, baseball and bowling with family and friends. He spent his working years employed with PPG Duplate until his retirement.

There will be a memorial visitation and service held at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME in Whitby, ON, located on 21 Garrard Rd., on July 23, 2024. The visitation begins at 3p.m with the service to commence at 5 p.m. Following the service there will be a reception at Moose Lodge located at 731 Wilson Rd South, Oshawa ON.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Oak Ridges Hospice Port Perry.
