He was 83 years old. While Pierrette (nee Meilleur), his wife of over 63 years of marriage has lost the “Love of her life”, his son, Rene (Guylaine) and daughter LeeAnn Schnob (late Ritchie Broughton) have lost their best friend and life mentor. Maurice was predeceased by his son Dwayne in 2010. Cherished and forever remembered Grandpa of Danielle Schnob, Dylan Schnob, Eleni Maltezos, Ava Maltezos, Angelika Maltezos, Peter Maltezos, Jeremy and Jesse Schnob and Great-Grandpa of AJ, Selena, Stella, Jersey, Nathaniel, Ariel and Wesley. Predeceased by 3 grandchildren: Jamie Lynn Lewis, Joshua and Jade Schnob. Dear brother of Shirley Campbell (late Gordon). Predeceased by his brother, Cecil Reckenberg (Monique) and more recently predeceased by his sister, Lois Forrest.

Special brother-in-law of the late Armand Meilleur (Della), Dennis Meilleur, Lenny Meilleur (Wendy), late Peter Meilleur and Paulyn Clairoux (Mike). Son of the late Charles and Clara (nee Recekenberg) Schnob. Also survived and dearly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Forever missed by his fur baby, Buddy. Maurice was particularly proud to have spent many years and countless hours coaching hockey and baseball in Renfrew. He mentored hundreds of young men who all went on to be successful in their lives and careers. Though he thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid gardener and always kept his property well groomed and trimmed. His favorite time was spent on road trips traveling near and far with his beloved Pierrette.

He has left a void that could never be filled in the lives of those who loved him most. He will be missed. The family wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, PSW’s and staff at the Arnprior Hospital for the amazing care and respect shown to Maurice and his family. Also special thanks to Father Robert Ryan for his spiritual direction, guidance and support. Final arrangements for Maurice have been entrusted to the professional care of the
Pilon Family Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday morning, August 15th from 9:30 to 10:45. A Funeral Liturgy will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock followed by a reception.
