SMITH, Maxine Jeanette (LOCKHART) Smith – Obituary

SMITH, Maxine Jeanette (LOCKHART), DC –  July 14, 1928 – October 5, 2015

At the age of 87, predeceased by parents Harold and Gertrude, her loving husband Frank, daughter Dara, grandson Mark and son-in-law Joe.

Forever loved by her children Kim, Jaye, Michele and Michael Donnelly, Kelly and Derek James, Skye and Jocelyn, and Aaron. Much loved Nanny of Thomas and Haleigh, Janna and James, Marisa, Krysta, Deana, Timothy, Katie and Alex and her precious great-granddaughter Arianna.

Known as Nanny Max to many who loved her and were inspired by her, especially Jennifer, Michelle and Dylan Donnelly and Gramma Max to Michelle and Kerri Farrell. Also leaving to mourn is her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy (Dot) and John Whiteside and family in the U.S., sister-in-law Joan Smith and many nieces and nephews here who dearly loved their Aunty Max. Maxine was an avid reader, enjoyed music, dancing, her afternoon swims or just being in the outdoors.

She was dedicated to the chiropractic profession and natural healing.

We will miss her worldly advice and gentle guidance, her creative talents, healing touch, hugs and card playing.

At Maxine’s request, there will be no service at this time as her body has been donated to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
